Magic was in the air at Fleur De Lis! Thank you, Dynamite Dave from Total Kids Magic, for bringing the fun and wonder. Everyone had a blast!

You know it’s summer when our Pre-K classes head to the park! What a fun day of Duck, Duck, Goose, adventures on the playground, and a picnic in the park.

Yesterday morning was spent singing, dancing, and making music with the wonderful Craig Newton! The children had an amazing time learning about different instruments, joining in with songs, and moving to the rhythm. It was a memorable start to summer! ☀️

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the incredible educators who do so much more than teach. Our teachers inspire curiosity, build confidence, and create classrooms where children feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. The foundation they lay today becomes a lifelong love of learning that students carry with them for years to come. Thank you to our amazing teachers for your patience, passion, creativity, and dedication. You are shaping hearts, minds, and futures every single day, and our school community is better because of you.

Today our little learners celebrated International Bubble Blowing Day, a reminder that simple gestures can create joy, spark connection, and help ease anxiety. ❤️

Our Pre-K children had a special visit from the Natural History Museum with their “Exploring Your Backyard” presentation. Students discovered there are habitats right outside their door, learned about the plants and animals that share our spaces, and explored how these creatures have perfectly adapted to city life.

Outdoor environments naturally stimulate curiosity in a way that traditional classrooms cannot replicate. Learning outside taps into multiple senses at once, which makes lessons feel more meaningful and keeps children engaged.

Early Learner 1 and Early Learners 2 celebrated Earth Day by sprucing up their class gardens! With the help of family members, they got their hands dirty by cleaning, trimming, and planting. What a wonderful way to care for the earth and our school community!

Worms bring learning to life! Through hands-on exploration, children build curiosity and a deeper connection to nature.

In honor of The Week of the Young Child, the Fleur De Lis Art Exhibit is now set up at the Mission Hills - Hillcrest/Knox Library! Take some time to stop by with your child and experience these beautiful masterpieces in person. The exhibit will be there through the end of May.
