Our History, English, and Art curricula came to life as our 6th graders explored San Diego’s ! After an engaging “Comics 101” workshop, they immersed themselves in “The Myth of Superheroes” exhibit.
Now, they’re bringing history to the page back in their classrooms - creating graphic historical fiction and diving into Greek mythology. A huge thank you to the for making this adventure possible! Go Gulls!! 💜💛

Celebrating Black History in 4th Grade!

Our students dove deep into the stories of influential Black Americans, crafting Google Slides presentations showcasing their incredible contributions. We also teamed up with our Art teacher, Miss Hohnstein, to create powerful calligrams - portraits made from descriptive words - that brought these inspiring figures to life. We are so proud of our students’ hard work and creativity!

Our 2nd graders brought fairytales to life in their play performance, “Character Matters,” showing how key values such as honesty, courage, and respect make all the difference! From brave heroes to kind friends, these classic stories taught us that character truly matters in every story. Proud to see our students live the lessons of our Character Education program both on stage and in their everyday lives! Go Gulls!! 💛💜

✨ Brilliant minds at work! ✨ Our 4th Grade Invention Convention was a HUGE success! Our young inventors tackled real-world problems with creativity and innovation. So proud of all their hard work!

We celebrated Founder’s Day at WWS today! Thank you Nellie Warren-Walker for your determination to create our “Little School by the Seashore” 93 years ago. To celebrate, Lower School wore purple and gold, while Middle School enjoyed a pancake breakfast. Here’s to many more! Go Gulls!!

Mrs. H’s Pre-K class welcomed the “Year of the Snake” 🐍 with a fun and festive celebration! They read The 12 Days of Lunar New Year, watched an exciting lion and dragon dance video, and got creative making their own dragon puppets. 🐲✨ A wonderful way to learn about this special tradition! Our Gulls Football Club took on the Torres of La Jolla Country Day earlier this week as they put up a massive defensive fight led by our superstar goalkeeper, who saved 18 out of 21 shots on goal! Then, with a perfect textbook cross, the Gulls scored! While we suffered a 1-3 loss, the teamwork on display was outstanding. Next up, we take on Christian on 1/16. Go Gulls 💜💛

What an incredible day for 3rd grade at the Kumeyaay Cultural Center! As part of their unit of study on Native Americans, WWS students explored Kumeyaay traditions through hands-on activities like crushing acorns, examining traditional tools and clothing, and playing games like P’Shuuk and Peon. A huge thank you to the Kumeyaay Cultural Center for sharing their rich history with us. Go Gulls 💜💛

Over the course of the next several Life Skills sessions, W-W middle schoolers will participate in a service project called “Art from the Heart” benefitting PATH San Diego. Students are creating small, hand-painted art pieces to be displayed in transitional or affordable housing for people who have experienced homelessness. In small way we can help many in our community feel more at home in their new spaces. Thank you to our Middle School Art teacher, Mrs. Christine Haddaway, for guiding the students during this initiative. Go Gulls! 💜💛

🌱 Tiny hands, big growth! Today, our Early Learning Center toddler class explored the wonders of gardening!

From planting seeds to watering their budding sprouts, these little learners are discovering the joys of nurturing plants while developing motor skills and a love for nature. It’s amazing to see their curiosity bloom as they learn about the environment around them. Great job, toddlers - our future gardeners in the making! Go Lil’ Gulls 💜💛

This busy holiday season, Warren-Walker Middle School students took time to brighten local seniors’ days. Together, they decorated and filled 160 “We Care” bags for citizens served by . The bags included games, journals, art supplies, small necessities, and fun toys to be delivered along with the meals provided by the non-profit. They are given throughout the year on birthdays, holidays, or just because! Thank you to all of the families that donated supplies. This is one of our favorite service projects and Meals on Wheels is always so grateful. What a wonderful way to celebrate this Season of Giving! Go Gulls!! 💜💛

Our Middle School Holiday Concert was spectacular! A big THANK YOU to for hosting us at such a stunning location (complete with breathtaking ocean views!), and to for providing delicious treats!🧁

The show opened with our talented 6th Graders, followed by incredible 7th Grade and 8th Grade performances, leading up to a beautiful finale by our Middle School Choir ✨
