Looking for a flexible way to complete your Anatomy or Physiology prerequisite?

The Anatomy Learning Institute offers fully online, asynchronous, and self-paced courses in both Human Anatomy with Lab 🦴 and Human Physiology with Lab 🫀.

With interactive virtual labs and the Visible Body platform, you can explore anatomy in depth while learning on your own schedule. Human Physiology with Lab also pairs perfectly with Human Anatomy as you build your understanding of how the body functions and works together.

🎉 Celebrating Dr. Kellie Breen Church! 🎉

We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate Dr. Kellie Church on her promotion to Professor at UC San Diego and her recent NIH grant award! 🧬🔬
Beyond these incredible accomplishments, we’re especially grateful to know Dr. Church as a valued member of the PLNU community and a friend to our students and faculty. We’re so grateful to have Dr. Church share her expertise with students through Physiology and Neuroanatomy, while also guiding and supporting their research through the Biomedical Sciences Research Hub.

Congratulations, Dr. Church! We’re so proud of you and excited to see all that’s ahead. 🧠✨

✨ Student Spotlight: Mark! ✨

You may recognize Mark as a TA in your anatomy class! 🧠

Mark chose the MSMS program to deepen his knowledge of anatomy and medical science while continuing to grow his Fascial Counterstrain practice and work toward becoming an anatomy educator.

His goals? To continue growing his clinical practice, teach anatomy at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and eventually contribute to research on chronic pain and manual therapy.

When he’s not studying or teaching, you can find Mark running ultra-marathons, reading sci-fi 📚, or spending time with his wife and two dogs. 🐾

We’re excited to have Mark as part of the ALI community and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him! 🩺🧠 Point Loma Nazarene University

We echo the words shared by our PLNU President in mourning the loss of Glen Laster, a beloved professor, colleague, mentor, and friend.

For more than two decades, Glen was a meaningful part of the PLNU community, impacting countless students, faculty, and staff through his teaching, mentorship, service, and genuine care for others. His work with the Southern Civil Rights Pilgrimage gave students opportunities to learn, reflect, and engage with history, justice, and reconciliation in deeply meaningful ways.

Glen’s presence and influence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.

The Anatomy Learning Institute sends our heartfelt prayers to Glen’s family, friends, students, and the entire PLNU community during this difficult time. 🤍

May he rest in eternal peace.
