Make sure to catch recital day tomorrow, Friday 5/1.
This is Paul Rosette, a graduate student at SDSU. He began playing drums when he was 6 and started learning jazz in high school. Throughout his time at SDSU as a grad and undergrad, he’s studied with esteemed teachers such as Karl Soukup, Dr. Brian Levy, Tim McMahon, and Dr. David Whitman. He’s played with many incredible groups and guests at State like Cecil Alexander, Jerry Bergonzi, and Willie Jones III. His graduate recital is the culmination of years of study and practice, and is a celebration of all the different ways jazz can be performed and interpreted.
