SC played on DP tour and currently assistant golf coach at Northwestern ,correctly demonstrating the movements of his golf swing while towing a weighted sac (30lbs) to increase strength and feel in his swing .
This exercise strengthens the following muscles:
Gluteus Medius, Gluteus Minimus which prevents swaying and sliding in the back and downswing.
Increases GRF, Trail leg drive, Lead leg bracing and posting, Hip rotational speed, lower body power, correct sequencing from the ground>hips>torso>arms>hands> grip>clubhead.
This exercise also will INCREASE YOUR ABILITY TO FEEL WHEN U CORRECTLY MOVE AND EXECUTE YOUR GOLF SWING.
Equipment : golf club , Harness, adjustable strap, sac holds 5 to 10 lb weights .
Notice n video: When SC correctly executes his backswing ,the weighed sac will move toward his target. If weigh does not move , he has slide instead of rotated. On downswing, SC driving off trail leg ( instep) the wt bag will slide smoothly toward target . If he does not push off and drive energy to front leg, bag will not move.
5 Swings x 3 rounds . After each round , swing a club without any weights.
U will develop Feel when u correctly execute your swing along with getting stronger.
