🚨📢Child care providers are celebrating the introduction of a landmark legislation to address historic pay inequities.
AB 1981 by Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry will tackle California’s child care crisis head-on so families aren’t left waiting for care and providers aren’t left scrounging pennies to pay their bills.
Currently, according to state data, 73% of California child care providers do not pay themselves a salary due to inconsistent, low pay from the state that does not cover the full cost of providing care.
The time for fair pay for quality child care is NOW!
