We celebrated the grand opening of our newly renovated CSE space with a dynamic student collaboration area, 13 new staff offices, and a 2,900-square-foot, state-of-the-art data center designed to fuel the next generation of AI and computing research. 💻🚀

Huge congratulations to CSE Cole Kurashige for being named a finalist in the 2026 UC San Diego Grad SLAM! 🏆

Grad SLAM is an annual competition that challenges graduate students to distill their deep-dive research into a fast-paced, "TED Talk" style presentation designed for a general audience. A diverse panel of campus judges assessed the presentations based on delivery, structure, and the significance of the research.

Cole is a PhD student in UCSD’s Programming Systems group in the CSE Department. He took the stage at the Qualcomm Institute to present his talk, "Error-Free Software For All."
