“If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” - John Wooden
How often have we said, “I wish I had more time!” or lamented “I was rushed and had no choice but to give less than my best”
Rushing through something might save you time right now, but it'll ultimately take you more time to do it over if there are problems. Or worse, maybe you only have one shot (like with your college admissions process).
Seriously, if you can’t take the time to do it right you sure as heck don’t have the time to redo it again. Saving time is great when it doesn't come at a cost, but when you run the risk of making mistakes by taking the shortest route you're not really saving time at all.
Anything that is worth striving for deserves our honor, respect, and full presence. But the sad part is that we often waste it. Ignore it. Give it away. Take it for granted.
What are you putting off that may come back to haunt you later? Do yourself a favor and take time, energy, and investment to do it right the first time.
Make one commitment in the comments👇 about how you’re going to be more mindful of your time so as not to flounder it away.
