When we were just getting started in our family and in our jobs, money was tight!! We had what we needed but we had to be extremely careful with every penny. One Christmas we were gifted a porch FULL of groceries! 🙏🏻😭🥲 it was an amazing blessing and a burden lifted! I remember being amazed that there were THREE bags of fishy crackers in the Costco box! Three!!! My little toddlers thought it was the most amazing snack! 🤣 Let’s help bless the lives of someone else who needs it this year!

Welcome to my mobile office! DOUBLE TAP this pic if you feel like you live in your car most days! Three days a week I work in our van, I shuttle kids around in our van, I even eat lunch in our van. It’s busy!! Good thing I have an amazing deodorant to get me through the day smelling fresh! DEAL ALERT!! I’ve talked about my love for Dove several times in my past monthly grocery hauls! Happy Valentine’s Day Pearls! Our morning started with in person church! That means here in California we were able to go to church in our building!!!! Families were seated far apart. Masks were worn. No singing. But it’s one step in the right direction.

All day I was thinking of the scripture from The Book of Mormon in Alma 6:6 “Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft,” there is a special spirit that comes when you get together in person with others to study the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m going to do everything I can moving forward to not take for granted the opportunity to go to church in person as a congregation.

After church we ate leftover pizza, prepped our valentines dessert, made homemade bread, made some bread deliveries, then made it home in time for leftovers and our yummy red velvet layered truffle cake. My favorite part of the day was eating our dessert at the table and watching everyone around the table laugh about the most random things.

You can open a my Social Security account to not only review your personal Social Security Statement, but they also have tools like the Plan for Retirement section that uses your actual earnings to calculate your retirement benefits based off the three common ages to begin getting your retirement benefits. You can also see how much you have paid in Social Security and Medicare taxes. Having these numbers and estimates available are super helpful in planning your future.
