When we were just getting started in our family and in our jobs, money was tight!! We had what we needed but we had to be extremely careful with every penny. One Christmas we were gifted a porch FULL of groceries! 🙏🏻😭🥲 it was an amazing blessing and a burden lifted! I remember being amazed that there were THREE bags of fishy crackers in the Costco box! Three!!! My little toddlers thought it was the most amazing snack! 🤣 Let’s help bless the lives of someone else who needs it this year!

Happy Valentine’s Day Pearls! Our morning started with in person church! That means here in California we were able to go to church in our building!!!! Families were seated far apart. Masks were worn. No singing. But it’s one step in the right direction.

All day I was thinking of the scripture from The Book of Mormon in Alma 6:6 “Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft,” there is a special spirit that comes when you get together in person with others to study the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m going to do everything I can moving forward to not take for granted the opportunity to go to church in person as a congregation.

After church we ate leftover pizza, prepped our valentines dessert, made homemade bread, made some bread deliveries, then made it home in time for leftovers and our yummy red velvet layered truffle cake. My favorite part of the day was eating our dessert at the table and watching everyone around the table laugh about the most random things.
