This month I hit my 10 year breaking anniversary 🥳

So here’s 10 years of learning how to break as an adult in under 60 seconds:

6️⃣ Ditch the fear of how we look when we first start

It’s not about crazy talent. It’s about showing up, being patient with your body, and refusing to believe it’s too late.

I was listening to a podcast with Art Ulene (who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro at 90) and he talked about focusing on your ‘peak span’, staying as close to your peak potential as possible, regardless of age.

That hit me right in my feels 🥹

At 47, I’m not trying to rewind the clock or battle who I was at 20. I’m building the strongest, most capable version of myself RIGHT NOW. Just like Mt. Kilimanjaro, breaking has peaks and valleys in the journey, just keep going.

People think this page is about breaking.
It isn’t.

It’s about discovering you’re still capable of becoming someone new.

Breaking just happens to be how I learned that lesson.

I started breaking at 37.

At the time, I thought I was learning dance moves.

Looking back, I was learning something much bigger.

Patience.
Resilience.
Confidence.
And the courage to be a beginner when most people think it’s too late.

Breaking was the catalyst, and the real transformation happened in how I saw myself.
