Good evening, Dolphin Families.

1) Please join us on Zoom tomorrow evening at 6pm. Please read details below from our amazing PTA Garden Liaison, Master Gardener, Jon Lewis; we need your input and support:

Wednesday, May 13th, at 6 PM we will have a first planning meeting on Zoom to form a garden committee for next school year. We need parents who are willing to assist with the garden program, including scheduling, garden cleanup, fundraising, and other activities. I've been volunteering at Toler since 2015 and know that we can do this. We have a beautiful garden that has been almost completely renewed this past year. I am glad to advise this committee, but I can't do it by myself. This first meeting will be really quick! If you can't join, please respond to let me know you are interested. And please forward this to any other families who might want to be involved.

Good evening Toler families,

The time has come for our 2025-26 Toler PTA Executive Board elections! We hope you will join us tomorrow evening (Tues., March 25 at 6pm) for our 2025-2026 PTA Executive Board elections.

While we have a number of open roles that are appointed each school year, the positions of PTA President and PTA Vice President are both up for election this year. As you would imagine, these are 2 of the positions required by California State PTA to have a working PTA, so finding members to fill these roles is of the utmost importance. While it seemed daunting when I initially accepted my own nomination 2 years ago, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Toler PTA President, and would like to encourage YOU to consider being nominated for either of these positions!

Our Toler community is truly special, and that’s thanks to the hard work of our educators and volunteers who help make a difference in our kids’ education and bring us together through PTA programs, fundraisers, and events. Some of the great initiatives we support include the Garden Project, field trip transportation, special assemblies, family nights, teacher grants, staff appreciation, school spirit wear, and book fairs. None of these activities can happen without our Toler PTA.

Did you know, the first Black principal in all of San Diego, was Mr. Noble W. Shade, when he was appointed principal of our Toler Elementary school in 1965.

It's a day to Rise and Shine Toler Dolphins! Everyone is excited for the Dolphin Dash! We'll see you on the field today when the Dash starts around 10 am. We'll be racing in groups of TK, K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th and 5th grades. Everyone is welcome to watch!

Good Morning.

There is a power outage at Toler and in the surrounding neighborhood. I am sure many of you are impacted. I have been told that the earliest power will be restored is noon due to a needed part.

Driving to school is difficult due to lights. Please be careful.

Toler, school and PrimeTime are open and we will improvise. It is a cool morning so we are hoping that it will be okay without AC. Our refrigerators are down; food services is making an alternate lunch plan. If you can send a non-perishable snack and lunch, that would be great. If you prefer to keep your student at home until power is restored, it is an excused absence. We will message when power is back up.
