Click the link in our bio to see Vin Deighan’s interview with Sig Slayers Station: Comic Book Headquarters. There he talks about making comic books, how comics are shaped by place and culture, and what it was like to teach history in the SDSU Comic Studies Program. The segment on teaching with comics begins at 5:09 and it is worth the listen!

We are so thankful for his and Professor Laurence Grove’s time spent here this semester and look forward to seeing them again soon!

psst!

With our upcoming expansion (check our pinned post!) we won’t have the bandwidth to host many events this month… but for Frank Quitely we will absolutely make an exception!

Now Or Never is hosting Frank Quitely for a signing after hours on the evening of Wednesday November 19th from 7-9pm! That’s the same day that Batman / Deadpool comes out, featuring an incredible Quitely variant. Perfect timing!

Quitely is a multiple Eisner winning artist, and his work includes some of the most loved and best selling books we have in the shop, including ALL-STAR SUPERMAN, NEW X-MEN, WE3, FLEX MENTALLO, BATMAN & ROBIN, THE AUTHORITY, and more.

This signing is FREE and open to the public. There is no limit on signings, but we’ll just say be reasonable and respectful. Due to the limited timeframe, commissions or sketches won’t be available. Quitely is currently teaching at SDSU as their Inaugural Comics Scholar and Artist In Residence this semester, and we’re incredibly grateful for his time while he’s in town.

We’ll have a wide assortment of Quitely’s work available before the signing, including trades, hardcovers, compacts, and individual issues. If you want to reserve something specific for the signing just drop us a line!

Thanks to for the flyer, and to for coming to visit Now Or Never. See you all on the 19th!
