We are back with our weekly Tuesday Testimonials! Today, we are introducing LATS Tutor Montserrat Aguilar-Navarro, a Third-Year Critical Gender Studies Student from Marshall College: "I feel very fortunate to have the experience I’ve had at LATS so far. Coming into the job while the UC system was transitioning to a virtual quarter, I was initially nervous about how it would affect the tutoring program. However, I’ve been surrounded with such hardworking co-workers who share the same passion for writing as I do, it is extremely rewarding. The overall support I have received goes beyond the 9-5 workday, I love being in a space with like-minded individuals." 😊

Say hi to one of our most experienced LATS Tutors Katie Galindo! In her last quarter here as a student studying in Human Developmental Science at UCSD, let's hear from Katie about a great piece of writing advice: "Ideas are better when spoken out loud. Don't be afraid to talk about writing. Having a conversation about what you are trying to write is the best way to help you move forward in a paper” 🖊

It's Tuesday Testimonial again! 🤓Today, we are introducing LATS Tutor, Sophie Yang, a Second Year Cognitive Science Major Student from ERC College: "My experience as a LATS tutor has been truly rewarding as I had the chance to see how people can have very different understandings of the same writing topic. It's amazing to learn from peoples' cultural backgrounds and personal experiences and see how they integrate these unique features of themselves into their own writing pieces. I am beyond grateful that LATS has provided me with this opportunity to hear different perspectives and insights and I am sure these experiences and knowledge will ultimately inspire me to become a better, more considerate world citizen. It has been my pleasure to be a part of the LATS team as I was given the opportunity to work with these brilliant and approachable individuals. What I find to be the most rewarding is the fact that every member of the LATS team is willing to offer support to one another and truly cares about each other's well being, especially Amy and Leo. Knowing this makes me feel relaxed and much less concerned when it comes to expressing my genuine thoughts and feelings."
