Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands

What are you doing Saturday, October 25th? If you've got nothing to do I've got something for you, and if you DO have something to do change your plans and volunteer for a shift at the 48th Mt Carmel TOURNAMENT OF BANDS! The LARGEST marching band tournament in Southern California (dare I say even the entire state!). 35 high school bands from across Southern California, as well as the USMC Band and the SDSU Marching Band, will be performing!. Approximately 3,000 students, 200 chaperones, staff, and about 5,000 spectators will visit the campus for the Parade and the Field Shows. The tournament is the largest and most important fundraiser of the year. The funds raised benefit everyone (Band, Color Guard, and Orchestra) in the music program. Our goal this year is to raise $30,000, which will provide music instruction, new instruments, new equipment, instrument repair, and improvements to the semi-trailer that carries just about everything to tournaments we compete in. With more than 300 shifts to fill and 200 food donation items, we need as many volunteers as we can get to pitch in to make this a successful event. If you'd like to volunteer, go here to sign up! Band & Orchestra Winter Concert

First up let's talk about the Band & Orchestra Winter Concert on Friday, December 13th in the PAC!. Join us for an evening of festive, holiday charts that will surely warm the chills of winter cold & holiday blues. Please come out and support these awesome students in celebrating an amazing night of musical love & appreciation.

Doors open at 5:45 pm and the concert begins promptly at 6:00.

Refreshments will be sold outside the foyer before, during and after the performance for some time; additionally tickets may be purchased day of at entry, however seats are not reserved and first come, first serve.

Color Guard Showcase

On Thursday, December 12th is the Color Guard Winter Showcase in the gym (aka The Sundevil Arena). This event is truly exciting, featuring solo performances by each Color Guard member alongside captivating group routines.

Doors open at 7:00 pm!

Tickets will be sold at the door: $5.00 for General Admission. Kids under five years old & students with ID are free!
