Our 4th graders transformed into the pioneers of the California Gold Rush through RStories of San Diego. History came alive as our students dressed in costume and acted our events during this fascinating time in California's history.

Our Prekindergarten students recently held their Presentation of Learning, the capstone of their Family Study. Surrounded by friends and family, they shared their favorite activities and proudly showcased their family trees, highlighting what makes them unique and special. These early experiences with public speaking not only allow our young learners to celebrate their individuality but also lay a strong foundation for self-confidence and comfort with presenting in front of others in the future.
Our middle school students participated in the 31st Annual Gingerbread City Gala contest, hosted by the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County. This year’s event celebrated 70 years of service to the community, with participants encouraged to draw inspiration from the 70s to capture the magic in their gingerbread structures. Our students did a wonderful job embracing this theme, and we are so proud of their hard work and creativity!
The San Diego firefighters of University City made a special visit to support our elementary science students with the finale of their egg drop projects. Using their fire truck's ladder to simulate a high drop, the firefighters assisted in testing the students’ carefully engineered contraptions designed to protect their eggs from breaking.
Our Toddlers and Preschoolers recently came together for one of our favorite traditions—the annual Harvest Hike! After enjoying a scenic hike through the park with our friends, we gathered for a delightful potluck brunch with our families.
We brought the magic of winter to Maria’s Dream Playground with a flurry of "snow" from a special snow machine! Our Prekindergarten students were thrilled to experience the joy of playing in the snow with their friends.
Our Prekindergarten friends had fun celebrating the conclusion of their Friendship Study with a Friendsgiving Feast. The students worked alongside their "sidekicks" on collaborative art pieces, highlighting teamwork and creativity. Together, they prepared a delicious meal for the feast, learning valuable lessons such as sharing and gratitude along the way.
Elementary and Middle School Spanish students had the opportunity to connect and engage by practicing their Spanish speaking skills together. This interactive approach allowed them to build confidence, share information, and strengthen their language skills through conversations. By working collaboratively, they bridged their learning experiences and fostered a sense of community.
Today, we celebrated the love and wisdom shared across generations at Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day. Thank you to everyone who traveled from near and far to make this day so memorable. Wishing you all a joyful holiday break!
Our first graders recently hosted a publishing party, proudly sharing their own written and illustrated stories with family and classmates. This celebration marks an important milestone in our students' journey as confident writers & storytellers!
Our middle school math students are exploring function patterns and the order of operations by building triangles with toothpicks. Through this hands-on activity, they discover relationships between triangle size and the number of toothpicks needed, strengthening their understanding of functions and algebraic thinking.

Our elementary Spanish students recently gathered in our culinary kitchen to make traditional Mexican hot chocolate. After reading a story, they worked together to mix rich cocoa, cinnamon, and spices, practicing Spanish vocabulary along the way. The result was delicious!
In Middle School Spanish, our 8th graders are diving into meaningful cultural exploration through their Día de los Mu***os projects. Our students are studying the rich traditions and history behind this cultural celebration.
