Happy 1 year Anniversary to one of our fantastic music therapists, Ms. Justice! She has been an incredible asset to the team. She is kind, patient, and works hard to provide a positive experience for the families she serves. We can't wait to see all the amazing things she will continue to accomplish as a member of our team! We are looking forward to our 20th Annual Music Recital THIS Sunday June 22nd at Point Loma Nazarene University! There will be 3 recitals featuring amazing performers from The Music Therapy Center and Banding Together. It is a free event and EVERYONE is invited! Please see photo for parking directions. This week brought a powerful breakthrough with Duain that deserves to be celebrated.

After a string of challenging sessions, he came in with a whole new energy—and for the first time ever, he played three different instruments in one session: guitar, piano, and ocean drum. “It was like he rediscovered his own musical voice.”

What made it even more meaningful was how naturally he began using his AAC device alongside the music. He’s been learning it gradually, and today, something clicked. “His confidence, his curiosity, and his voice—everything started coming together.”

Watching him take initiative, explore, and express himself so fully was unforgettable. “Growth doesn’t always happen in a straight line—but when it shows up, it’s magic.”

Go Duain! We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what comes next. 💬🎶👏
