Thanks to a major grant from the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary, the dream to replace our once partially dilapidated, space-inefficient, and inaccessible music filing system with a robust new music filing system has become a reality! A brand new, bespoke system was delivered and installed in our new office in late December. Last week, SDCC’s Artistic Director Ruthie Millgard had the pleasure of sharing the results of the Art Pratt Foundation’s generous support to President Lee Kaminetz.

We would also like to thank all of the volunteers that came in and helped us to file all of the music.

You can read all about it in our latest blog.

Help Us Inspire the Next Generation of Musicians!

Join us in spreading the joy of song this holiday season. Donate now to help the record-breaking 1,900+ young individuals who are thriving through music and a rich engagement with the arts. Your fundraiser donations will cover direct program expenses like rehearsal space, rental fees, program supplies and software, insurance, staff wages, and costs related to operating our organization.

While half the cost of sustaining our programs is covered by tuition, ticket sales, and other earned revenue, the other half is made of contributions from individual donors, as well as public and private support.

Your support will directly contribute towards sustaining our programs and ensuring that every child has access to high quality music education.

We are over half way to our goal. To make a donation visit the link in our bio.

As the year comes to a close, we are reaching out to you with an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of over 1,900 children in San Diego.

Our choral music education programs have been instrumental in providing unique and high-quality music instruction to aspiring young musicians. Through these programs, we have witnessed firsthand how choral singing not only nurtures their artistic talents but also instills discipline, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
Half the cost of sustaining our programs is covered by tuition, ticket sales, and other earned revenue, the other half is made of contributions from individual donors, public and private support. To continue offering these invaluable opportunities, we have set an ambitious goal of raising $20,000 by December 31st. Your support will directly contribute towards sustaining our programs and ensuring that every child has access to high quality music education.
Here’s how your contribution makes a difference:
1. Enriching Lives: Your donation will enable us to expand our reach and impact even more young individuals, opening doors for them to explore their passion for music.
2. Fostering Creativity: Choral singing promotes creativity and self-expression, allowing youth to develop their artistic abilities while gaining confidence in themselves.
3. Building Community: Our programs bring together diverse groups of young people who learn the value of collaboration and mutual respect through shared musical experiences. This strengthens bonds within our community as a whole.
Please consider a gift of $50, $250 or an amount that feels right to you. Every dollar counts towards creating brighter futures for these young minds. We hope you donate today. Read our 2023 Annual Report, link in bio, to learn more about the impact of our programs.

If you have any questions or would like further information about how your support can make a difference, email Carrie Cottriall, Executive Director at [email protected].
