We had a fun first day at Azalea Rec Center! Watch for the flyer to sign up! It's only $5 for the entire session which started yesterday and goes through Dec. 14th. Every Monday and Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00, with 2 art lessons each day. We have spots left. Imagine that!!! ONLY $5 for the entire session!

Ms. Claudia will be teaching a great class on painting an Axolotl on October 2nd. Be sure to sign up at the San Ysidro Library.

And the Winners for the end of the summer art contest are:
First Place: Vibha Prasad ~ age 8, 3rd grade ~ "Calm"
Second Place: Yusra Faraz ~ age 7 "Magestic" inspired by the appearance of the sky the day before hurricane Hillary landed in San Diego.
Third Place: Amanda Yang ~ 7 years old ~ The essence of the two flamingos evoking a sense of love and connection.

It's time for our end of summer art contest with Art Smarts!

1st place is a Winsor Newton travel watercolor set + a pad of Canson XL watercolor paper

2nd place is a Winsor Newton travel watercolor set

3rd place is a set of Permanent Markers in assorted colors.

Contest ends September 15th. Open to kids ages UTK - 17. Judges will determine winners based on originality, color, fun, etc.
