Dreams Come to Fruition as California Western Alumni Become Lawyers - California Western School... This day was a joyous culmination of everything a law school graduate has worked toward. It was the day they raised their right hands and took the Oath of Professional Conduct and were sworn into the California and federal bars. It was the day they became lawyers.

We are so proud of one of our most recent bar passers (and new attorney) Erik Weber! He has a truly remarkable story and California Western was lucky to play a role in his journey to a career in law.

Traffic Court can be an intimidating place. While few of us can afford a lawyer by our side, here in San Diego, specially trained and supervised law students are providing motorists with support and advice through California Western’s Traffic Court Clinic. What an exciting and long awaited day - Michael Hanline, the man exonerated with the help of CIP after 36 years of wrongful imprisonment, will have his case dismissed by the DA today after several months of threatened reprosecution. Congratulations to Mr. Hanline, finally a free man, and to all of our students, faculty and staff who have worked on his case for freedom since 1999.
