Celebrate with a Judicial Mixer at the University of San Diego on March 22. This outdoor event, with drinks and appetizers, will celebrate the success of 10 local female Judges who are former Public Defenders and highlight the importance of diversity in the legal field. The judges will be on a panel and then will network and meet all the attorneys and law students from across San Diego in attendance! Before the event, there will be a fundraiser and clothing donation to Sharia's Closet.

California Western Professor Emily Behzadi will be giving a lecture at UCSD’s Osher Institute for Lifelong Learning on March 10 at 10 am. The lecture will delve into the laws that exist to protect cultural heritage from destruction, examine various armed conflicts from the twentieth century, and elucidate how the law has effectively or not protected cultural heritage from wanton destruction.

California Western Vice Dean and Professor Susan Bisom-Rapp will deliver the Second Annual Malcolm Sargeant Memorial Lecture at Middlesex University on March 14, 2023. Her lecture is titled: Older Women Workers, the Pandemic, Discrimination and Lifetime Disadvantage.
Longtime co-authors, Professors Sargeant and Bisom-Rapp, are best known for their book, “Lifetime Disadvantage, Discrimination And The Gendered Workforce” (Cambridge University Press 2016).
