This is the official page of the University City High School Music Department!
The University City High School Music Department consists of a band, choir and string orchestra program. Within the band program, there are several different performance formats. We perform as a marching band, pep band, concert band, and we also have a jazz band. In addition, we field a colorguard program in conjunction with the marching band during the fall marching season, and also during the winter guard season.

The Centurion Sound needs front ensemble members for the 2022 season! Play keyboard, sampler, and concert percussion with the award-winning band program. Experience reading music is preferred, but not required.

Another successful Sights & Sounds Showcase in the books! Thank you to all the student and staff performers, Mr. Paredes for joining us, the volunteers for getting it done, and Mr. Marcus and his trio for kicking off the evening. Special thanks to the music families, including alumni families, that came out to support the program. And did you ever!! We are still tabulating, but looks like we raised more than $6500 in ticket sales, auction, and donations!! What a wonderful evening. Success on so many levels!!
