Welcome to the San Diego Alumnae Chapter! Our alumnae chapter was installed June 13, 1931 and has enjoyed more than 80 years of sisterhood and service.
The chapter is composed of AOIIs from collegiate chapters across the continent, of various ages, interests, and professions. We delight in each other’s company. We enjoy supporting our local collegiate chapters, going out to dinner, touring local attractions, merry-making at our annual Holiday Party, wine-tasting, and, generally, anything that brings us together. p care packages, celebrating Founders’ Day, catching up over afternoon tea, decorating our famous cookies, participating in an Arthritis Walk, reflecting on Ritual, or having a business meeting, we always have a the best time. The San Diego Alumnae chapter is proud to provide support for five collegiate chapters in Southern California: Theta Iota Chapter at California State University San Marcos, Lambda Beta Chapter at California State University Long Beach, Lambda Alpha Chapter at University of LaVerne, Lambda Iota Chapter at UCSD, and Sigma Phi Chapter at California State University Northridge. We have a history of exceeding AOII's expectations. We regularly achieve the Ruby Level of AOII’s Standards of Excellence and have been recognized for our contributions to the Arthritis Foundation and to the AOII Foundation. Members serve as volunteers at the Network and International level and we count several Rose Award recipients among our members. We have a strong foundation of loving, dedicated, and enthusiastic sisters, and new sisters are always welcome. There is no greater joy than helping sisters stay connected/reconnect with AOII and watching them develop and enjoy relationships begun with members of our alumnae chapter. Our history of retaining active members is a testament to the exceptional alumnae experience our members receive through our chapter.
