We’re kicking off the spring semester the best way we know how: with community, time outdoors, and a lot of fun 🌞🌿🌮
Tour de Taco: Hop on a bike and cruise through town as we ride to some of our favorite taco spots!
Love Your Wetlands Day @ Mission Bay: Join us in caring for one of San Diego’s most important ecosystems. We’ll spend the morning giving back through hands-on stewardship, learning about wetlands, and connecting with the land and water that make this place so special.
These are our first OA trips of the spring semester, and we can’t wait to get outside with you! Let’s start the season strong!💙

Five days. Four nights. 30+ miles hiked and 4,800+ feet of elevation gained.
Our January Guide Training took us deep into the Grand Canyon, across the Tonto Plateau, into shared camp life at Havasupai Gardens, and all the way to the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch. Along the way, we learned not only how to move through this landscape, but how to lead within it with patience, resilience, and care for one another.
We were reminded that this place holds deep Indigenous history and living stories, and we carry responsibility as visitors and leaders to honor the people who have stewarded this land for generations.
We returned stronger, more connected, and deeply grateful for the lessons, the laughter, and the long climb out that taught us just how capable we are together. 🌄🎒

🌵WROLC Recap!🌵
Our Outdoor Adventures team had an amazing time at the Western Regional Outdoor Leadership Conference at the University of Arizona! From inspiring presentations to seeing our own students and pro staff take the stage, it was an incredible opportunity to learn, share, and grow. We also loved connecting with fellow outdoor leaders and students from universities across the region.
Huge thank you to WROLC and U of A for hosting such an awesome experience. And shoutout to all the other incredible schools and students we connected with, as well as the University of Redlands for winning the annual WROLC Crux Cup. Finally, thank you to Jeanette Stawski for the inspiring keynote message and all of the wisdom she had to share with our group! 💙🌄

We wrapped up the semester with two of the most uniquely San Diego adventures: cruising through Balboa Park at night to take in the holiday lights, then exploring tidepools and slipping into sea caves at the lowest tides of the year. There’s truly nothing like San Diego in December. 🌊🚲✨

Check out these breathtaking highlights from our November break canoe trip through the Black Canyon, complete with a full feast by the river. 🍂🛶 Grateful for sunshine, canyon walls, and the best crew to share it all with.
Special thanks to for these awesome pics!

Say hello to Albert, a guide who reminds us why the outdoors bring people together! Albert leads by example: with steady encouragement, thoughtful compassion, and a commitment to helping others shine. In every trip he guides, students leave feeling more capable, more connected, and more at home in the outdoors.
We are so lucky to have Albert as part of the OA family. Thanks for making OA brighter, one trip at a time!🗺️🌿
