Who’s thinking about applying to grad school?!?! It’s that time of year and the first stage deadline is coming up in December. It’s just a simple form, with the full portfolio application due in January, but it’s coming up fast.

One great tradition in our MFA program is Grad Slide Night, seen here this fall. We all get together, eat good food and talk about our work outside on a beautiful San Diego evening. Come work with us!!!

Current artist in residence, (Christine Lee) recently presenting her work for art students. It’s been awesome having Chris (and Pepperoni!) here with her fancy new digital loom. Such an amazing way of thinking and working through craft.

professor will be teaching this workshop at this coming February-March. Come out and bring your favorite objects/collections and create reliquaries for them. Share with friends who may be interested. Much will be learned, both technically and conceptually, about making boxes for specific objects, and how housing them in purpose-built spaces changes how we see/engage with them.
