September is here and we're happy to announce SDSU's NSSLHA & SAA chapters are teaming up to join the 2021 San Diego Heart & Stroke Walk, taking place on Saturday, September 18th from 8 AM-12:30 PM! Join our team and help us support the event!

There are 4 locations throughout San Diego where the walk is taking place, but you do not have to be in-person to participate! Just simply register to join and walk in the comfort of your own neighborhood!

Join National NSSLHA as we host a panel of CSD students and faculty who will share tips and tricks to keep your grades up and stress level down during this unprecedented time of online learning.

Interested in becoming a Student State Officer for NSSLHA?

Student State Officers (SSOs) work closely with the Regional Councilor (RC) in their region to disseminate information about National NSSLHA and liaise with chapters, National NSSLHA members, and state speech-language-hearing associations.

Similar to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Advisory Council, NSSLHA's goal is to have one audiology Student State Officer (AuD SSO) and one speech-language pathology Student State Officer (SLP SSO) from each state where there is at least one affiliated NSSLHA chapter.

We had a great time this weekend at Explore SDSU telling perspective students about our experience as SLHS majors & involvement in NSSLHA! We hope to see all of our new friends in the class of 2022 next year! ✨❤️🖤✨

OH MY WOW!! From the bottom of our hearts we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to our SLHS loves campaign. Thank you to our staff, students, NSSLHA members, clinic clients and every single person who donated. We were able to raise $985 in the time span of just one week! We are completely blown away by all of your generosity and cannot thank you enough for supporting our campaign! To all of our followers who do not go to SDSU our clinic is donation based, so a fundraiser like this and the amount that we raised to support our clinic is absolutely incredible. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! 💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖

Hey Y’all 👋🏼 it’s us here over at SDSU NSSLHA, wanting to talk (or post) about something near and dear to our hearts, The Rosa Parks Book Drive! We are trying to donate 100 (yes that’s right ONE HUNDRED) new books to Rosa Parks elementary school. One of my favorite things to do as a child was read a book and then spend the next week(s) playing out my favorite characters, so let’s give that opportunity to fellow young readers! As we know the importance of a good book for a child so let’s come together and make this happen y’all! Also leave a comment below and let us know what your favorite children’s book (or adult book) is! 🤗 📚❤️ P.S. you can come drop your books off at our office hours tomorrow 11/29 from 10-11 am, at our next meeting 12/05, or at our office hours on 12/06 from 10-11 am. IF you cannot make any of those times and still want to make a donation please let an officer know and we would be happy to take your books for you! Happy Reading 🤗

Hey Y'all!! We are currently looking for undergrads who are fluent in Spanish. They should be comfortable and available to help with giving Spanish Language Samples at Rosa Parks Preschool this week, 10/23-10/27, as well as next week 10/30-11/3. We test from 7:30 to 11 Monday thru Friday. Undergrads can come any day that they are available. If you or someone you know is interested please have them email Irina at [email protected]!
