GAMERS ASSEMBLE! Sixth College Tech Comm making a comeback: WINTER GAMEFEST 2022 SPRING EDITION! We apologize for this long wait but at last, we have returned. This year’s Winter Gamefest will take place on Friday, May 20, between 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at Sixth College East Lawn. Unfortunately, we have decided to remove all on-site tournaments due to COVID restrictions for this year’s Winter Gamefest. But that does not stop the fun! Join us in perler beads, free-play with sponsor-provided PC setups, and a raffle for a gaming PC giveaway! With another wave of midterms this week, what better way to blow off steam from the midterm stress other than coming down with friends and enjoy a Friday afternoon!

Moreover, this event is open to EVERYONE! Even if you are not from UCSD, please don’t hesitate to check it out!

All attending UCSD individuals must show a Symptom Screening (Green thumb) at check-in for entry, non-UCSD individuals must show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test result within 48 hours prior to the date of the event. Masking is required at the event.

Due to UC San Diego’s decision to have remote instruction for the first two weeks of the upcoming academic quarter, unfortunately Winter Gamefest 2022 will be postponed to a later date in accordance with this policy. However, stay tuned to our social media accounts and Discord for more updates and announcements with the event!

If you’re interested in competitive gameplay or want to experience it for the first time, we encourage you to sign up! Team up with your UCSD peers and join the fun! Some of the tournaments are open to PUBLIC so you can team up with FRIENDS outside of UCSD! Please go to the links provided below to sign up tournaments and get your teams ready! Tournament finals for most games will be streamed through (Discord/Twitch since we are now in-person?). Make sure to join out Winter GameFest 2022 Discord server (link at the bottom of the post) to receive tournament updates or having inquiries regarding the tournament if you haven’t already! Players of all skill levels are encouraged to join!
Not interested in competitive gaming but still want to participate? We’re looking for Tournament Officers (TO) and volunteers to help us run the event! We are also looking for tournament casters! Let us know if you’re interested in casting any of the tournament game! Our Artist Alley application forms are now LIVE! Spots are limited so please apply as soon as possible!

While COVID-19 still affecting the U.S., it is important to practice and maintain the COVID-19 safety protocols when attending an indoor event!
