FOLLOW UP IS KEY TO CREATING A SUCCESSFUL SALES SYSTEM

THE PROBLEM IS THAT FOLLOW UP IS OFTEN FORGOTTEN IN THE PROCESS … CAUSING A DRAMATIC LOSS IN SALES INCOME! I'm Wanda Allen and I have been been developing systems for corporations for over 25 years. As a Banker, one day I was asked by a prospect’s office manager if I was going to be one of those bankers who only followed up in the beginning,

You can have the best intentions to follow up, but without a system, consistency gets compromised and that’s how opportunities are lost.

Have you ever wondered:
How many times should I follow up?
What do I say after no response?
How do I stay consistent without being pushy?

If you don’t have clear answers, it’s easy to avoid following up altogether. That’s exactly what I help with. If you’d like to improve your follow-up so opportunities don’t slip away, let’s talk.

Most people think follow-up is about getting a response. While this is true, there’s more to it. It’s about staying on the prospect’s radar.

If you’re not following up, you’re relying on someone to remember you and that’s a risky way to do business. Because the reality is, prospects move on quickly and you get pushed aside and possibly even forgotten about. Follow up puts you back on the radar.

No response doesn’t mean no interest.

It usually means you weren’t top of mind. Prospects are busy...focused on what’s right in front of them.

If you don’t follow up, you get forgotten. If you do, you get remembered.

Therein lies the difference.

How many times should you follow up before assuming someone isn’t interested?

More than once or twice.

Most people follow up 1–2 times then stop.
Not because they got a “no”
But because they didn’t get a response.

No response doesn’t mean no interest.
So keep on keeping on and don’t give up too soon!

Most people think the biggest mistake after a networking event is not following up....it’s not.

The biggest mistake is sending a generic follow-up message.

“Great meeting you. Let’s stay in touch.”

It’s polite… but forgettable.

People meet a lot of new faces at networking events. If your message sounds like everyone else’s, it won’t stand out.

A strong follow-up should reference something specific you talked about to keep the conversation going.

Networking starts the relationship...follow-up builds it.

Follow-up breaks down long before the follow-up message is sent.

It breaks down when there’s no decision about:
• how long a lead stays active
• what warrants another follow-up
• when it’s time to stop

Without those decisions, follow-up becomes reactive and inconsistent.

That’s why systems matter more than reminders. This is the kind of work I’m doing right now in my private 30-day Follow-Up Revenue Reset.

If follow-up feels harder and messier than it should, message me to discuss.

One of the biggest follow-up mistakes I see isn’t lack of follow-up.
It’s treating every lead the same.

No distinction between:
• warm vs. cold
• active vs. stalled
• viable vs. no longer a fit

So people either:
over-follow up and feel pushy, or
under-follow up and let deals fade away

Follow-up works when it’s intentional and systematized, not reactive. This is the kind of cleanup I’m working through right now with clients inside my private 30-day Follow-Up Revenue Reset. If follow-up feels harder and messier than it should, message me for details.
