We continued to find success on the yellowtail today, putting plenty more on the deck. As the sun set, the focus shifted from the rail to the galley. Chef Chuck and Rolo, supported by crew members Tanner and Adolfo, absolutely crushed it with an incredible sushi spread. Amazing weather and great company.

Great yellowtail fishing for our LA James group

We took advantage of a short window of opportunity to have a successful go-around on nice tuna, yellowtail, and wahoo. Since conditions have not improved in our current location, we have made the decision to head to a new area to search for better opportunities. Wish us luck

We managed to catch all target species during our first day on the water. We spent time trolling to locate the fish and understand their positioning. Once we figured out where everything wanted to be, we enjoyed steady action until dark. We are looking forward to seeing what today brings

The trip departed yesterday on LA James Stay in School 8-Day with a fantastic group of anglers. LA wasted no time distributing a massive array of prizes, including Daiwa Reels, Avet Reels, Graftech Rods, and various essentials like reel bags, jigs, poppers, sweatshirts, shirts, hats, cutters, and much more. The group is holding a seminar today to cover tuna, yellowtail, and wahoo fishing strategies. While there is still a way to go to our destination, the group is preparing to be ready for any fishing opportunities that come our way.

We are finally enjoying some beautiful weather down below as we steam toward the barn. We are scheduled to arrive at the dock tomorrow morning at 0500.
A massive thank you to Rick Ozaki, Kyle Tibbets, and Mike Nguyen for all their hard work on this trip. We also want to extend our gratitude to our amazing partners—Graftech Rods, Avet Reels, and Turner's Outdoorsman—for the incredible support.
While the fishing was tough, we truly hope everyone had a great time out there with us. It’s an honor to host this long-standing charter, and we look forward to seeing everyone again.

We spent our last day offshore covering a lot of ground in search of tuna. While the tuna didn't want to show themselves despite the warm and calm water, we didn't come up empty. We found plenty of kelps to work with, and while many were dry, we managed to find enough life to tag a few quality yellowtail and some big dorado to finish the day.

There were a few more shots at yellowtail and tuna, but the tax man was relentless and made it tough to get these beauties to the boat. Kevin saved the day with a big wahoo to cap things off. Last day of fishing tomorrow before heading home

Tough conditions and weather made it a challenging day on the water again. Still had some quality fish come over the rail like Jeff's 54lb yellowtail. Rather than beating the same ground, we’ve decided to make a move to better things for tomorrow.
