Our mural in Teralta Park is well on its way. This huge mural was designed by our very own world famous and involved considerable input from community stakeholders in the City Heights community.
Look for Sake and our volunteers to be out there painting over the next few months.
And if you are interested in volunteering to help, dm us or contact us at info@s dalliance.org .

SDCAA works with the community when creating murals in those communities. A great example is "Unity in the Community," in City Heights' Teralta Park. Watch how the mural continues to develop while the community participates in this exciting endeavor.

Magic happens when we work together. This mural is a great example of this practice.

What a shock to read this article about Larry Baza. Having known Larry since the mid-eighties Co-Chairing the Committee for Chicano Park Murals, he has always been a great help in all the art endeavors I have taken on in San Diego right up to the present for SDCAA. I have always been able to rely on his generous participation and help. He is a great loss for San Diego.

Before the Holidays I want to share our latest project for our Clients the Berlin Family. They came to us having moved from New York City to Del Mar and one of the things they missed was seeing Urban Art on every corner. Sake and I sat down with the family to get their input and this lead to Sake's creation of this mural...And although I dislocated my shoulder when this mural was delivered I was so thrilled and impressed I felt the power of Art.
Later when I asked Jared what he thought their new work of Art, he said,"On a scale of 1 to 10, hmmm...20."
Have a spectacular Holiday of the Heart and the best New Year ever.❣️❣️❣️

“When you put a mural in a public space, you’re putting it in people’s living room” - Linda Sheridan, CEO & founder of SDCAA
Community input on what a community mural should embody is absolutely crucial. To get a sense of what the community values, we created this survey for the upcoming mural project for the First Baptist Church of National City. We cannot wait to see where this will lead us!
Please email your completed surveys to [email protected] so our artist can start drawing out a design for the mural!
