Oh the memories we’ve had starting from age 7/8 years old. Beyond proud of you Ava! I’ll never forget the start to our training and I’m so proud of how far you’ve come. You’ve come such a long way and have earned every bit of this! Keep believing in yourself because I’ve always believed in you. I’m a forever fan and can’t wait to cheer you on at Davis!!!

I can’t believe how long we’ve been on this journey together! Since before I made you realize you had another foot you could play with (GO RIGHTY!) and even before you were taller than me (which says a lot considering you’re now 5’11” and I’m still 5’3”). It’s been amazing to watch you grow as a player and as a person. Can’t wait to continue on this journey with you and see where it takes you! Thank you for letting me be a part of it all. GO TROJANS!!!

Mindset is a huge part of success in any sport you play!
Keep these in mind: Just a few of my favorites.
-Believe in yourself!
-Learn from your losses.
-Move on from your mistakes, don’t dwell on them.
-Be coachable. Try to remember most coaches your best interest in mind so try to listen at the correction vs taking it as them putting down.
-Work hard no matter the situation you are put in.
-Strive to be better everyday.

Make checking your shoulder a habit! When your check your shoulders before receiving the ball you know where and how close a defender is, where your teammates are, and where the space is. The best players have 3-4 options each play and they know those options prior to receiving the ball.
Being comfortable with the ball at your feet is important for ALL players, regardless of position.
If you’re comfortable and confident with the ball at your feet you will play with composure, which will make you better at getting out of pressure no matter how, where, or when you’re getting closed down.
