How long should prosthodontic therapy last?
In his keynote presentation at the 2025 ICP Biennial Meeting in Toronto, Dr. Lyndon Cooper explored one of the most important questions facing the future of prosthodontics: therapeutic longevity.
As patients live longer, clinicians must consider not only the technical success of treatments, but also the biologic and systemic factors that can influence outcomes over time.
The future of prosthodontics may require a broader perspective—one that views therapy as part of a patient’s long-term health journey rather than solely as a technical achievement.
