Psi-Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta Phi Alpha Theta is a national honor society in history for students from any major who love the discipline of history.
We as the PLNU chapter encourage historical travel, discussion, research, writing, and presentations. We hold several events throughout the year to encourage historical discussion. We have made road trips to Cliff Dwellings, Central Coast Missions, the Huntington Library, the Getty Museum, Balboa Park and various other places, particularly in the San Diego area. Did you know? Point Loma was discovered by Europeans on September 28, 1542 (476 years ago!) when Portuguese navigator Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo departed from Mexico and led an expedition to explore the west coast of what is now the United States. Happy unofficial Point Loma Day!

“I'm interested in history because it's something that we all have in common but at the same time I like learning about different people through the different interpretations of the past.
