In less than three months, he successfully completed his training, secured an externship with a local pharmacy, and was offered a position with that same organization.

It is with great excitement that we celebrate another student success story at Western Medical Training Center.

Abukar Ahmed successfully passed his NCCT National Certification and is already continuing his educational journey by pursuing his Registered Nursing degree.

Abukar entered the Clinical Medical Assistant program in February 2024 and quickly demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to healthcare. After completing the program, he began working as a Patient Care Technician at Kaiser Permanente and plans to continue growing his career there by applying for Certified Medical Assistant positions.

Stories like Abukar’s reflect the impact of hard work, education, and opportunity. We are proud to have been part of his journey and look forward to seeing the continued impact he will make in healthcare.

Happy Mother's Day from our WMTC family to yours!

Western Medical Training Center is proud to welcome Griselda Magana as our newest Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor.

Griselda brings more than 20 years of combined experience in healthcare and education, including over a decade in direct patient care and another 10 years as an instructor and externship coordinator. She is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and a state-licensed phlebotomist, currently working in a laboratory setting, which allows her to bring current, real-world insight into the classroom.

Griselda is passionate about sharing her knowledge and is deeply committed to helping students succeed as they begin their careers in the medical field. Her experience, combined with her dedication to student growth, will play an important role in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We are excited to have Griselda join the WMTC team and look forward to the impact she will make in the lives of our students.

Destiny has put in the work, demonstrated commitment, and is now prepared to step into the healthcare field ready to serve patients and make a meaningful difference. Western Medical Training Center is pleased to announce the addition of Noor Alsabbagh as our new Pharmacology Instructor.

Noor brings a strong academic and professional background to WMTC, holding a Master of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research from the UC San Diego School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Benghazi. Her experience spans hospital systems, behavioral health, skilled nursing facilities, ambulatory care, and retail pharmacy settings, giving her a well-rounded perspective on patient care and clinical practice.

In her role, Noor will lead our Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacology programs, including our growing collaboration with CVS Health. She is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of pharmacy professionals and is passionate about translating clinical knowledge into real-world application.

Noor’s teaching approach is centered on meeting students where they are, adapting to individual learning styles, and providing ongoing coaching to ensure mastery of both clinical skills and professional standards. She is dedicated to preparing students for board exams, licensure, and long-term success in healthcare careers.

Ms. Jasmine Avila is guiding students through best practices, ensuring they understand not only how to perform clinical tasks, but why these standards matter in real-world settings.
