📸 Preserving the original elements in this historic mid century modern house was the mission of architect Kristi Byers Architect. It’s one of those projects that I photograph and admire all the work and consideration that went into it. I mean, I want to live here 😁.

📸 It was a challenge photographing this two story space. We were pinned against the back wall to get the shot, but it was so worth it. “Visibility into the space was a main driver of the massing and façade design. The two-story mass defined by higher parapet level, differentiated exterior finishes, and large storefront windows announce the building’s presence and invite students inside. A central, open lobby connects the building’s two floors and enhances visibility through the building” HMC Architects

Shoutout SoCal is part of the Los Angeles based Voyage Group of Magazines. They started an initiative called Shoutout designed to help get the word out about great local businesses, artists and creatives and they asked to have me featured 😍

The interview is designed to spark meaningful conversations. They ask questions about life, work, how you think about risk-taking, and work-life balance.
