Build a School Foundation, 9921 Carmel Mountain Road Ste. #72, San Diego, CA (2026)

Vision: Build 100 schools globally by 2025
Mission: Provide educational opportunities for poor children by funding classrooms, school infrastructures, teaching and learning equipment, and "need-based" scholarships. Strategy: Foster collaborations and participation among all active stakeholders –
• Local government to provide free land and local resources
• Local enterprises to provide funding through their Corporate Social Responsibility budget
• In-country and overseas philanthropists, who value education as a solution to eradicate poverty and social inequality, to provide donations through educational and healthy-lifestyle fund-raising activities
• Leadership Foundation Academy and its graduates, who embrace the “Passion Meets Compassion” leadership development philosophy, to donate teaching proceeds and social-entrepreneurial resources for the mission.
• Optimum cost share of 50% from locals and 50% by donors/Foundation

😍 Mooncakes, lanterns, or lasting impact? Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival by building Project #216. 😍

A box of mooncakes is good for a day.
A colorful lantern brings joy for a week.
A solar-powered school leaves an impact for generations. ☀️📚

Happy Mid-Autumn Moon Festival! 🏮✨
😍 While many are celebrating with family, our global community continues to turn goodwill into brick, mortar, and light. As we kick off Build a School Foundation Project #216, we already have our first $2,000 USD seed funding—courtesy of two students from Trang Nhã Viking who "failed" my DYD30 Discipline Challenge. In our world, failure turned into accountability makes everyone a winner! 🤝

Massive congratulations to our project leaders completing milestones this week:
😍 Siv Menh on crossing the finish line for Project #211
😍 Khiem Nguyen Brilliant and Nguyễn for completing Project #207
😍 A special thank you to Thiên Lương for stepping away from the holiday celebrations to host our live construction broadcast. Leadership is about showing up when it counts.

😍 Want to join us in bringing clean energy and education to the next community?

In this update, we sit down with Mr. Ahmed Moumin, Founder of Think Green in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and a 2025 Mandela Washington Fellow. Together, we are proving that "trash" is actually a resource that can provide a second chance for underserved children.

3 Things You Will Learn in This Video:

✅ The Eco-Brick Process: How we recycle plastic bottles to create durable school structures.
✅ Community Impact: Hearing the stories of hope from Cameroon and our latest construction milestones.
✅ How to Win $100: Watch until the end to see how you can participate in our 30-second challenge!

WHO WE ARE
As former “Boat People” refugees from the Vietnam War, we believe in the power of a second chance. The Build a School Foundation has funded over 201 schools in 11 countries as of late 2025.
