Until recently, I must confess, I never really really believed that God, even God, loved me in certain insecure places within my heart. At some level, I believed the lies I've been told my entire life. We all hear these lies - in whatever ways we are unique, we are special, we are particularly gifted, precisely in those places in our hearts, in our beings have we been ridiculed, rejected, despised.

Take those hidden places, those places kept in the dark, kept "safe" deep within the recesses of your heart and invite God to love you in them, precisely in those places. Invite God to love you into the fullness of the man or woman He created you to be, His unique gift to the world. KNOW THAT YOU ARE WONDERFULLY MADE - with the BIblical sense of that word, "Know" - complete intimacy and union with God in that knowing, in that mutual sharing and surrender.

No matter what your parents said or your aunts or uncles or siblings or teachers, no matter what you've said to yourself, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, precisely in the unique, unrepeatable parts of yourself. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
