Dear customers,
I trust this finds you and your students well during this crazy time. We miss our students, teachers, school community and, of course, running! When we get back – and WE WILL GET BACK! – we’ll have a renewed appreciation for our school communities. It’s the simple things we miss the most, and seeing kids enjoying exercise and its benefits is an important one. 😊
I have some personal news to share. After working on Student Lap Tracker for over 12 years, I was due for a career shift and entered into an agreement with Matthew Marksbury, our lead software developer. Matthew lives in Fall Creek, OR with his wife and four children and has been a key part of the SLT team since 2011! He has worked with me to build SLT and has been a trusted advisor and friend. There is no one better to take over for me than Matthew. I’ll continue to be involved with our strategy and product design.
What does this mean for you?
Our commitment to helping schools build healthy communities remains the same. The service, technology and the people remain the same. Some of our roles are shifting – Matthew will be leading the company and I will be taking a step back from daily operations. We’re both committed to your success with the program at your school.
It’s been my pleasure to work with you over the years! One of my inspirations for starting this business was my Aunt Joan who taught P.E. and inspired her students for many years in Massachusetts. They still contact her and tell stories! So many of you do the same for your students, and we appreciate it!
Things are changing rapidly at school during this pandemic. However, one of the constants is that kids need to move to feel good about themselves and grow. We will be here to support you teaching your students that same important life lesson.
Be well and please feel free to contact me or Matthew anytime with questions.
Thank you!
