The new website is live, and registering for a class is easier than ever.

Tell us where you are at, first permit, renewal, or just a qualification, and the schedule shows only the dates that apply to you. Live seat counts, prices all in, and you book and pay right there.

We also lay out the private training options and the online renewal route, including the part most training outfits would not put in writing: online costs about ten dollars more than a one day range class, not less.

Go take a look, and if something is broken or confusing, hit reply and tell Bill: https://www.ccwusa.com/2026/09/the-new-ccw-usa-website-is-live-and-booking-a-class-takes-two-minutes/

Hello!!

Okay friends… I need your help.

We dropped the price for the Judge Benitez dinner to $99, and now I have a mission:

LET’S FILL THE ROOM.

Not because we need another event on the calendar.

Because I want Judge Benitez to see us.

I want him to look around that room and see the people who have been fighting alongside us — our volunteers, our members, our supporters, our SDCGO family.

You guys give SO much to this organization. You volunteer at events, help new shooters, work tables, give up your weekends, and do all the behind-the-scenes stuff that nobody sees.

I see it. And I appreciate the hell out of you.

So we wanted to make this dinner more affordable and give you a chance to come, enjoy a great dinner, meet Judge Benitez, and just hang out with your SDCGO people.

$99. That’s it.

📅 September 9
⏰ 6:00 PM

RSVP TODAY

Come have dinner with us.

And PLEASE bring someone with you. We have room to fill, and I want to make this a night Judge Benitez remembers.

Let’s show him how San Diego shows up. 🇺🇸

Your CCW does not renew on its expiration date. It renews on two dates, months apart.

Six months out, you can take the 8-hour renewal class.
Ninety days out, the Sheriff opens your application. You cannot file without the certificate.

What changed this year: miss that 90-day window and San Diego County makes you start over as an initial applicant. 16 hours instead of 8.

The Sheriff also takes six to eight weeks to process. File late and your permit expires while you wait, and you cannot carry while it is expired.

Go look at your card. September and October dates are in this week's newsletter: https://www.ccwusa.com/2026/09/two-dates-decide-your-ccw-renewal-san-diego/

Also inside: SDCGO hosts dinner with Judge Roger Benitez on September 9. If you can go, go. sdcgo.org/benitez
