CCW USA Firearms Training

Read this before you renew.

Starting September 1, every California CCW renewal application requires livescan fingerprints. Not just new applicants. Renewals too.

What it costs: $93 to the state, plus $30 to $60 to whoever runs the livescan. Call it $150 on a permit you already hold.

What beats it: getting your application in before September 1. You can submit up to 90 days ahead of your expiration date, so if your permit runs out before the end of November, you can still move.

Your renewal training has to be done first. We have five August dates left: the 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th and 22nd, plus an online Renewal Course if none of those work.

Your CCW weekend is August 7 and 8.

Friday is classroom in La Mesa, for initial applicants, renewals, and Day 1 of the 16-Hour class. Saturday is a live range day on our private outdoor range in Escondido. New applicants can finish the whole requirement in two days. Renewing? Saturday is all you need.

Bill keeps the outdoor range small on purpose, so seats go quickly.
