Georg Matt, director of the Center for To***co and the Environment at San Diego State University, and a team of researchers analyzed more than 3,000 surface samples to measure how much thirdhand smoke residue remains in homes.
"In one of our studies, we looked at more than 200 apartments in San Diego County, and we could measure to***co smoke residue in each and every one of them.
