Established in La Jolla, California in September 2002, Nightingale Music has been offering music classes to infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout San Diego County. Studio classes, workshops, preschools and birthday parties are the many ways in which Nightingale Music has spread the joy of music to the youngest of our musical generation. Nightingale Music combines all types of music, from traditional nursery songs, to classical, to rock-n-roll with creative movement, games and percussion instrument playing to enhance learning and initiate children into the magical world of music. Nightingale Music features wonderfully varied manipulatives, puppets, parachutes, drums, streamers, xylophones, bubbles... as well as an unusual and never ending assortment of rhythm instruments, which brings a fresh and new lesson each week.

Did you know FORTE means loud in music? 🎶 Our little ones learn many musical terms including forte (loud), piano (soft), allegro (fast) and largo (slow).

We incorporate basic music theory into every one of our classes to help children build a deeper understanding of music while still keeping learning playful and developmentally appropriate.

Stop! Such an important word to learn when we are little 😊

The “Run and Stop” song connects vocabulary with music and movement and helps build listening skills.
We can walk and stop, hop and stop, dance and stop. What are some other fun ways to move around the room?!

The sound is very bright but it’s so fun to play the hard round shell! It’s perfect for our JUNGLE session! 🎶🤩

Dancing with our jungle scarves to this classic tune is such fun! 🤩 At Nightingale Music we incorporate all types of music from classical, pop, folk, traditional, jazz and more into our curriculum. The children learn original songs and enjoy a wide variety of music styles!
