Another big Happy Birthday to my Dad! It has been so special spending time with my parents and especially watching the relationship develop between my Dad and Amaya. There is truly nothing that fills my heart more than watching my Dad with my daughter. Their relationship is the sweetest. 💞 So grateful for these memories we are creating.

When you shift from your mind to your heart is when you can begin to truly hear. 🤍

5 years ago I was living in Cabo. I did a lot of visioning activities while I was there. One of them was writing where I saw myself in 5 years. It was really detailed as I knew exactly what I wanted for myself at this point in my life. I have been doing A LOT of self work and healing while living in Cabo.

Fast forward 5 years.. everything I wrote in that visioning activity, I have now. Manifestation is so real. I say this all the time because I continue to watch my intentions and visions come to life.

Manifesting isn’t just thinking things rather it is a feeling and a knowing. It also takes action and effort.

I love these types of practices. It really helps create clarity around what it is you truly desire for yourself. It connects us to our heart and intuition to find alignment so that what comes to fruition is actually right for us because there is the flip side. We also have the ability to manifest unhealthy or unwanted things into our life. Therefore, it is so important to to really connect to our heart so we don’t lead ourselves astray.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss these years of my life. It’s not so much the years but the lifestyle. My life was so free flowing and spontaneous. I was living abroad and constantly traveling. Life was full of new experiences and beautiful places. There was so much growth and reflection happening for me. I have always found that leaving the place you know and being somewhere new opened my eyes to new perspectives and understandings outwardly and inwardly. I love the days with no agenda or routine; nowhere you had to be at a certain time, just flowing with whatever felt right in the moment.

These years shaped so much of who I am and my values. I’m so grateful for all I have been able to see 👁 Just because life is a little more rooted these days does not mean this spirit has left me. Got some beautiful plans in the works for 2023 🌏

Believe in yourself 💫

It’s such a simple saying but the action is sometimes harder. I think most of us have experienced self doubt or lack of confidence at one point in our lives. I struggled a lot with this for years. The shift really came from watching myself put the wheels in motion towards what I wanted to achieve and watching it come to fruition time and time again.

Release the self doubt. It is only keeping you stuck and not allowing you to move forward. You have the power and capability to achieve whatever it is you want! Put the intention out there, put in the effort and surrender. Let the magic happen from there. Not everything in life is going to turn out how we envision; actually most often times it won’t. However, part of believing in ourselves is trusting that the unfolding of our lives and knowing that we can move through what is being presented to us. Believing in yourself is knowing your worth and listening to your heart.

Believe in yourself and watch the magic of your life unfold. Watch as the pieces fall into place.

Happy first day of fall and Autumn Equinox! 🍂 I’m so excited for this season as fall really is my favorite.

Summer has been go go go. Now as fall has arrived it is a time to start slowing down and going more inward. From an Ayurvedic standpoint we are moving from Pita season which is fiery and warm, to Vata season; more cold and dry. As the environment around us changes we want to protect ourselves from the inside out. Having a seasonal routine helps you gain some equilibrium and enhance your wellbeing all year long.

If your dominant constitution is vata, like me, it is vital that we take extra steps to really care for ourselves during this season.

Some easy things to incorporate:

🍁 Start incorporating more warm drinks rather than drinking cold water. We want to warm ourselves as the weather gets colder. This is a great time to start drinking more tea! You want to make sure you are staying hydrated as the air becomes more dry.

🍁Eat more nourishing and grounding foods that are warm. Roasted vegetables with savory spices. Grains, high protein foods, and soups are great options! Also try eating more root vegetables.

🍁Focus on sweet, savory, and sour flavors rather than bitter and astringent

🍁Massage the body with warm oil

🍁Movement is key! You want to keep the body warm. Indoor exercise is recommended over outdoor activities if it is cooler where you live.

🍁Focus on grounding meditations

🍁Stay warm and avoid fans and areas that are drafty as vata is aggregated by moving air

I am paving a new way for my health and well-being. I am advocating for myself, showing up for myself and putting in the WORK.

Four months ago I was called back to my healing journey in a new and much deeper way. 5 days into our move I found myself back in the hospital having emergency surgery for the exact same thing that happened 3 years ago; a ruptured hemorrhagic cyst. Thankfully I knew the warning signs and symptoms and didn’t wait. It wasn’t any less worse nor was it any less scary. It was actually more scary knowing that I have a little person that needs me here. While it was incredibly traumatic and the healing process has been bumpy, I am not giving up.

This time I am no longer accepting the answer of I don’t know why this happens from my doctors. Instead I have sought out a specialist and won’t stop until I get answers. I have created a very devoted practice around acupuncture and my meditation practice. I have been going to breathwork events and working on releasing limiting subconscious beliefs. I am working on reframing and letting go of subconscious thought patterns that I believe are keeping me in this cyclical loop.

Healing is my choice and it is the only way for me to truly move forward. I got too comfortable before thinking I had healed what I needed to but this was a reminder that the work really never ends. Healing is a process and not something we cannot rush.

I feel empowered this time. I feel supported and have leaned on my networks and practices in a way I did not before. I feel hopeful and I feel so so so incredibly grateful to be here. Life is a gift not to be taken for granted. And healing what needs to be healed is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves 🤍✨🪷

This view will never get old. 🙌🏼

This last week has been so incredibly nourishing. I was able to spend time with an old friend along with new friends. We watched sunset at this gorgeous place, bbq’d, had amazing conversations, saw live music, and ended the week at a mental health event. I had an ass kicking lesson and reminder brought to me last week but nonetheless it was the exact recharge and reset that I needed.

Feeling all kinds of grateful right now! Thanks for being part of an epic week!
