The Vaquero Band has been working extremely hard. They have their first and second movements already memorized and have been practicing complicated marching techniques throughout their camp! This called for a celebratory treat! ♥️ Thank you so much to the South Texas Sno Bees for setting up and treating the band!

Please make sure you’re registered for the 2024-2025 school year. Also, make sure you have a current Physical on file. If you have one for athletics, that works. If not, please get with your doctor asap to get a physical as it is required by UIL for participation.

Hello, everyone! We hope you are all enjoying your time off.

This week, Monday -Thursday, there are a few things going on:

Drumline and Front Ensemble Camp
8:45am - noon (1hr lunch) 1pm-4pm

Colorguard Camp
9am - noon (1hr lunch) 1pm - 4pm

Music Camp
(EVERYONE that's playing next year. This includes upcoming 8th grade Band Members)
1pm - 4pm

All camps will be held at San Diego High School

Please try to make it this week.

We need to start preparing for next year and we need for EVERYONE to step it up!

We want to do super well this year
(as we do every year)!

Good morning! For those 7th & 8th grade contest students attending the BJJH Music Trip to Fiesta Texas on June 1st, please arrive at the junior high band hall by 7:30am. We will have a light breakfast provided for you. Students will be given an Unlimited All Day Dining Deal Ticket to use throughout the day and will also be given a refillable All-Day Bottle for any refreshing beverage. Please contact Ms. Valerie Perez if you have any questions or concerns.

Today, the Bernarda Jaime Junior High School Contest Band performed at the 2024 UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation. Three judges evaluated their three prepared pieces and three different judges evaluated their sight reading performance. We are proud to announce that the BJJH Contest Band received Super Ratings (1) from all 6 judges. Congratulations to all our students! We are proud of their commitment and dedication to our music program! Go Broncriders!

Our San Diego High School students attended the ATSSB All-Region Band Auditions held at Alice High School on December 2nd, 2023 where they competed against other 9th-12th grade students in our 1A-3A Region.
