Ok, we have got to talk about the Haakaa...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We know you love it, and we love it too. It is such a great tool to help with engorgement, clogs, catching milk, saving milk and we have even had families use it to cup feed!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT, we need to address WHEN you are using it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are using your haakaa to catch milk while baby is feeding, PLEASE put it on AFTER baby has fed from the breast.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For example, if baby starts on the right breast, your left breast should not have the haakaa on. Once baby is done with the right and is moved to the left, then put the haakaa on the right breast.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wondering why? If you put the haakaa on the left breast while baby starts on the right, the milk you collect is milk baby would have taken once they moved to the left breast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We know the saying "every drop counts" and we totally agree. If you are leaking on one breast and are really wanting to save that leaking milk, try putting the haakaa on lightly (not suctioning it on tight) this will not encourage more milk past the letdown to be removed. Then only leave it on for 1-2 minutes to catch that small initial leakage. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My first Tula baby isn't worn so often anymore, but she sometimes has social anxiety, and even 8-year-old legs gets tired sometimes. Thank you to our friends at for creating the Preschool carrier. The weight limit goes up to 70 lb and is perfect for big-little kids who fit a size 4T pant or bigger.
We have been using Tula carriers for almost 8 years, and we are so happy to see more products that can be used by a wider range of parents and kids.
