Sacramento County and the City of Fresno have filed lawsuits against major manufacturers and distributors, alleging they should be held responsible for the environmental damage caused by discarded cigarette filters and the public cost of cleaning them up. The lawsuit seeks damages and restitution, arguing that the burden of cleaning up to***co product waste should not fall on local communities and taxpayers.

Oregon is strengthening protections against youth ni****ne use and access. 💪

Effective June 5, Oregon’s Senate Bill 1571 expanded the state’s to***co product definition to include oral ni****ne products, lozenges, gum, and other ni****ne products. By regulating these products like other to***co products, the state is taking steps to address the growing availability and use of addictive ni****ne products among youth.
