We had so much fun celebrating Farm to Summer Week in June that we almost forgot to share the highlights! 😅🍉☀️🌱

This year’s theme, From Seed to Plate: The Story of Our Food, was all about celebrating the journey our food takes from the farm to our plates. and we brought the fun to our community!

We teamed up with the College-Rolando Library for a day full of hands-on fun, including sampling refreshing watermelon agua fresca 🍉🥤 and learning about fresh, local foods.

Summer campers hopped on our Blender Bike 🚲💨 to pedal their way to a delicious creation and took home cucumber and watermelon seeds to plant and grow at home. 🌱🍉🥒

We loved celebrating fresh food, local agriculture, and the joy of growing something of your own! 💚

Summer school never tasted so good! 🚴🍓🫐

Students powered their own berry smoothies with our blender bike, mixing fresh strawberries, blueberries, creamy yogurt, and a splash of milk before topping it all off with crunchy Three Little Birds granola. 💪🥣

Learning, movement, and a delicious snack—all blended into one unforgettable Farm to School experience!

Summer meals are underway! 🍉✨

Our team loved visiting Hancock Elementary to share all the summer goodness in action. Our friends at the San Diego Public Library joined us to spread the word about the Summer Reading Program. 📚

From juicy watermelon 🍉, crunchy Persian cucumbers 🥒, and sweet strawberries 🍓, we’re helping build healthy habits that kids can carry all summer long. ☀️💛
