Testing their detective skills and inspiring the next generation of STEM superstars! 🕵️‍♀️🧬

We had an incredible time at the Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) conference, where AWIS San Diego led an immersive Crime Scene Investigation workshop for middle school girls. From analyzing evidence to thinking like forensic scientists, these students proved that the future of science is in very capable hands.

🔍 Inside the Lab:
The girls jumped straight into the action, getting hands-on with real-world forensic techniques:

DNA Sequencing: Unlocking the genetic codes to identify suspects.
Blood Typing: Using biology to narrow down the field.
Liquid Mystery Identification: Applying chemistry to solve the unknown.

❤️ A Huge Thank You!
This workshop wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team of volunteers. Thank you for your time, your expertise, and your passion for mentoring the next generation of women in science.
