Our objective is to promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, at school, and in our community, and to bring parents and teachers closer, and to promote and enhance learning and education of Spreckels Elementary students. We look forward to another fun-filled Field Day on Friday, May 22! Parents who volunteer will be allowed inside the Fort Field fences to assist with activities. Those parents who do not volunteer will need to watch the activities from outside the fence. Can you believe it's already time for our last Running Club of the 2025-2026 school year? Did you know that so far this year, Spreckels Wildcats have run an amazing combined total of 3,203 miles?! 🤯
Running Club participants and their families are invited to join us Friday, May 15, 8:15–8:45 AM as we celebrate all the miles, smiles, and hard work our amazing runners have put in this year! We'll take our final victory laps together and enjoy some music, and every runner will go home with a special prize to celebrate their success this year. Hope to see you on the track. Staff Appreciation Week begins this Monday! Let's show our Spreckels staff our deep appreciation for all that they do to help our students grow, blossom, and bloom. We have some ideas to express our gratitude all week:
Monday, May 4: Wear bright colors or florals.
Tuesday, May 5: Share blooming compliments.
Wednesday, May 6: Brighten their day.
Thursday, May 7: Share a kind word.
Friday, May 8: Plant a seed or write a thank you note or kind message.

Join us for a night of food, performances, and community! We will start off with a mariachi band performing at 5 pm. Classroom performances will start at 5:20 pm (your teachers will let you know if your child is performing). Then, we'll close the night off with a special Ballet Folklorico performance at 6 pm, and classrooms will also be open to visit at your own pace from 6 pm to 7 pm. There will be taco stands, dessert, and snacks to enjoy with the whole family! Hope to see you there! Viva la Familia will be on Wed. April 29, 5 pm –7 pm, at Spreckels. Enter through the GREEN GATE.

Comenzaremos la noche con un grupo de mariachis a las 5:00 pm Las presentaciones en los salones comenzarán a las 5:20 pm (sus maestros les informarán si su hijo/a participará). Have you registered your student for next year? SDUSD is now requiring all returning students to fill out the Student Registration for Next Year form in PowerSchool. Log in at https://powerschool.sandi.net (browser only; it will not work in the mobile app) and fill out the form by Friday, May 8.
