2. Group photo after our first week of Spelling Bee rehearsals. It runs October 29-November 3rd

3. The MFAs on the first day of Spelling Bee Rehearsal

4. We were lead in a wonderful masterclass by Celeste Lanuza who is currently performing in Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes) at La Jolla playhouse

5. Just a little silliness to blow off steam between classes

Keep an eye on this page, we’ll be posting more fun stuff to come.

Stephen Sondheim, Titan of the American Musical, Is Dead at 91 11/26/2021

“Sometimes people leave you, halfway through the wood.” -Stephen Sondheim

Stephen Sondheim, Titan of the American Musical, Is Dead at 91 He was the theater’s most revered and influential composer-lyricist of the last half of the 20th century and the driving force behind some of Broadway’s most beloved and celebrated shows.

STEEL PIER Designer Spotlight : Regan A. McKay / / Costume Design

“When I was designing STEEL PIER, I was really inspired by the contrast in the 1930s between Hollywood glamour and the hard realities of the Great Depression, and felt like that was mirrored in the script by the duality of the beautiful illusions and the harsh grittiness of the dance marathon. My design process focused on helping to build a world that contained both sides.”
