Our 2nd and 3rd grade students are hard at work in their UFLI groups, strengthening the foundational skills that help readers grow! 🦅

Explicit phonics instruction gives students direct, systematic practice connecting sounds to letters, decoding words, and building the automaticity they need to become confident, fluent readers.

Small groups + targeted instruction + lots of practice = powerful learning!

Thank you to all of our Emory families who joined us this morning for our first Coffee Chat with the Principal of the school year!

We appreciated the opportunity to connect, share school highlights, discuss safety and security, and review ways our families can get involved on campus.

Your partnership plays an important role in making Emory a welcoming, safe, and supportive place for all of our students.

Our 5th grade scientists spent time outdoors investigating how the Sun creates shadows throughout the day! By observing, measuring, and recording changes in shadow length and direction, students discovered how the Sun’s position in the sky affects what we see on Earth.
