✨ to last September when Girls Take Flight visited the US National Weather Service in San Diego for Girls in ✈️ Aviation Day. The high school girls learned how TAFs (Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts) and METARs (Meteorological Aerodrome Reports) are created. The very reports they use for flight training are made at this site! Shout out to lead instructor Desi Ekstein, our photographer for the day, who had just been inducted into the Women in Emerging Aviation Technologies Hall of Fame. Congrats, Desi! 🎉
